Before you attend
We want you to get the very best from this course. so be prepared and make the most out of your experiences with The British Photographic Academy
1. If you have a camera that you plan to bring and you are not familiar with it please bring the instruction Manual so we can help you to operate your camera. To get the best from the course we recommend that your camera is at minimum a creative compact (that it has programmes such as:P, A, S, M, Av, Sv etc but a digital SLR would be perfect as well, but please do not be put of by technical terms as we are here to help you.

2. Please be prepared to introduce yourself, don’t worry if you are shy because everybody will be just as shy as you are and we aim to become friends.
3. Please be prepared to share with us what you hope to get out of the course, so we can adapted the course material to try and meet most of your needs.
4. Please be honest with yourself and us about your experience and remember this is a beginners & improver's class,and we are here to help you get the best out of this course.
5. Please come with an open and creative mind and a relaxed attitude to new ideas and learning in general, but most importantly come prepared to have a great experience.
6. Students are expected to bring their own cameras (digital). Make sure your batteries are fully charged, and you bring plenty of memory cards or make space on your current card.
7. Please bring some outdoor clothing appropriate for the season, as we will be outside for part of the course.
I.e. umbrella, coat, sun hat, sun cream etc. Depending on the time of year.
If you are attending the course prior to purchasing a digital camera one can be provided at a minimal hire charge.
Cancellations
If, due to unforeseen circumstances, we are forced to cancel the course you have booked we will offer you the choice of another available place on any of our future courses or refund.
If you cancel your booking we regret that refunds or transfers to other courses can only be given if we are able to fill your place, we will do everything we can to fill your place within reason.
Trip Cancellation Insurance – If you are travelling a long distance especially for the photo course , we strongly recommend that you purchase trip cancellation insurance. Please check our cancellation policy.
Note - The course leaders and organisers cannot accept responsibility for loss of, or damage to, equipment during these courses, and we would like to bring to your attention that all sensible health & safety practices must be followed at all times.
In addition please make yourself familiar with all available fire escapes and safe exit routes. When you are out in the grounds please take care and be vigilant around the waters edge etc,
as your safety and well being is paramount to us.
